USA: Ferrous scrap exports rise 33% on month in Aug’21

US ferrous scrap exports witnessed a rise of 33%, m-o-m, to 1.84 mn t in Aug’21 against 1.38 mn t in Jul, as per customs data.
Turkey was the top importer with 0.39 mn t followed by Mexico and Bangladesh with 0.38 mn t and 0.33 mn t, respectively, in Aug.
On a yearly basis, exports remained stable at 1.84 mn t.
