One of the largest Coal producing country, United States(US) has produced around 19.5 million metric short tonnes (mmst) of Coal at the end of week 31 (27 Jul-02 Aug, 2014).
US weekly Coal production has shown a slight improvement of 0.5% against previous week. However, it has registered a decline of 0.3% from comparable weeks of 2013, reported by the US government agency.
The country has produced around 576.8 mmst YTD Coal that includes Coking, Non-coking & Anthracite. This shows a slight decline of 0.8% as comparable with YTD Coal production in 2013.

Coal production from East of the Mississippi River totaled 8.2 mmst and from the West of the Mississippi River totaled 11.5 mmst during week-end.
The major Anthracite Coal source, Pennsylvania has produced 1 mmst Coal including 42 thousand short tonnes of Anthracite.
