Turkey: Ferrous scrap imports drop over 20% on month in Sep’21

Turkey’s ferrous scrap imports fell by 21% to 1.54 mn t in Sep’21 vis-a-vis 1.96 mn t in Aug, as per SteelMint data.
The USA was the top exporter to Turkey with 0.52 mn t during the month followed by Russia and Venezuela at 0.12 mn t and 0.09 mn t, respectively.
Scrap imports decreased by 28% from 2.14 mn t in Sep’20.
