Melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market improved to the tune of INR 500/t, as per sources. Heavy melting scrap (HMS 80:20) is assessed at INR 39,600/t, while attachment scrap prices stand at INR 40,600/t. Trader sources told SteelMint that there is a possibility of a minor hike in prices after the festive holidays due to continued tight supply.
