Top 20 miners had 65% share of China’s total coal output in CY’21

China’s top 20 coal mining companies had a 65% share in the country’s total output of 4.07 bn t in CY’21. The 20 companies produced a total of 2.7 bn t of coal, up 3% y-o-y, data from China’s National Coal Association shows. CHN Energy was the highest producer with 570.6 mn t, followed by Jinneng Holding with 383.9 mn t in CY’21.
