SAIL conducted an auction today for 6,500 t (60 kg) of full-length commercial rails from Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP). Buyers booked the entire quantity at a weighted average price of INR 41,450/t exw, sources informed. Bid prices increased by INR 2,140/t compared to the previous auction on 7 Jan at which 20,000 t of rails were booked at INR 39,310/ exw.
