China’s refined copper production rose 7.4% year-on-year to 10.49 mn t in 2021, exceeding 10 mn t for the second straight year. Production of lead, zinc and alumina also hit annual record highs in 2021, NBS data shows. In Dec’21, refined copper output stood at 910,000 t, while alumina and lead production were at 6.24 mn t and 741,000 t. Zinc output stood at 577,000 t.
