Taiwan: Steel billet imports fall nearly 50%, m-o-m, in Aug’22

Taiwan’s steel billet imports fell by 48.67% m-o-m in Aug’22 to 185,625 t from 361,605 t in July, as per data recently released by customs.
Russia was the largest exporter with 98,419 t, followed by Japan with 52,160 t.
Import volumes decreased by 17% y-o-y to 2.51 mnt in Jan-Aug’22 as against 3.05 mnt in the year-ago period.
