Taiwan’s steel billet imports rose by 5% m-o-m to 279,213 t in Jan’24 as against 265,522 t in Dec’23, as per Customs data. Russia was the largest exporter with 189,088 t followed by Japan with 61,555 t. Meanwhile, import volumes increased by 29% y-o-y to 279,213 t in Jan’24 from 216,790 t in Jan’23.
