According to the latest custom data,Taiwan flat steel exports which includes 7208 (HR coils /Plates),7209 (CR coils),7225 (Electrical sheets),7210/7212(GP/GC) reported the decline of 12% on monthly basis in Oct’17.Country has exported 0.68 MnT of flat steel in Oct’17 which was at 0.77 MnT in Sep’17.
However,on yearly basis nation’s flat steel exports decline significantly by 23% in Oct’17 against 0.88 MnT in Oct’16.
In first ten months (Jan-Oct) of CY17,country flat steel exports moved up by 0.5% to 7.07 MnT against 7.11 MnT in similar time-frame of previous year.

Vietnam remained the largest importer of flat steel in Jan-Oct’17-During Jan-Oct’17 Vietnam has imported 1.17 MnT (accounts for 17% of share in Jan-Oct CY17) and become the major importer of flat steel from Taiwan.
Other major buyers of Taiwan flat steel in Jan-Oct were China at 0.99 MnT (14%),Japan at 0.77 MnT (11%) followed by Malaysia 0.66 MnT ( 9%) and United States at 0.50 MnT (7%).
However in the month of Oct’17 Vietnam imported 0.13 MnT down by 19% from 0.16 MnT in Sep’17.Imports by China was at 0.10 MnT, Japan stood at 0.08 MnT followed by Malaysia at 0.07 MnT and US at 0.02 MnT in Oct’17
