Sponge iron prices hit one-month high in Raipur

SteelMint’s price assessment for sponge P-DRI (FeM 80%) in Raipur rose by INR 300/t to INR 32,900/t exw, touching a one-month high.
About 6,000 t of FeM 78-80% P-DRI deals were reported at INR 32,700-32,900/t on exw and DAP Raipur basis.
Active demand on rising billet prices and higher coal prices continue to lend support to the sponge iron market, SteelMint notes.
