China: Inner Mongolia’s coal production rises by 17% in May

Coal production in Inner Mongolia province of China stood at 97.5 mnt in May’22, an increase 17% y-o-y and 2.2% m-o-m. Raw coal output during Jan-May’22 stood at 489 mnt, up by 15% y-o-y. The province has increased coal production to more than 3 mnt per day since last eight months to meet the growing power generation demand.
