It is the first time that NINL-the major player of Indian Pig iron industry has decided not to offer steel grade material to domestic buyers.
Streets were thus hopeful of some price rise in the steel grade material.
Secondary sector steel grade Pig iron makers located in Odisha have taken advantage of the same and raise offers in the range of Rs 300-500/MT.
Mesco Steel also starts offering foundry grade Pig iron at a competitive price.
Whereas, producers of foundry grade Pig iron based in South India, pull down prices in the similar range.
Both limited buying activities as well as low availability in foundry grade weaken prices.
