Pakistan’s scrap import prices have moved up by $5/t compared to the beginning of this week despite limited trade, as per SteelMint data. Small deals were confirmed for around 500 t of containerised shredded scrap at $525/t, CFR Port Qasim. Higher UK-origin shredded scrap offers are being quoted at $525-530/t, CFR levels. SteelMint’s bi-weekly assessment for shredded scrap stands at $525/t, CFR Port Qasim, up by $5/t against the last assessment on 7 Jun’21.
