India: Ferrous scrap prices remain supported on limited availability

Melting scrap prices moved up by around INR 300/t on 10 Jun’21, as per SteelMint reports. Inadequate supplies, along with strengthening semi-finished steel transactions on renewed market momentum, pushed up prices. The Chennai market may witness an upward movement from existing levels, as current bids are not enough to secure adequate volumes. Prices could fluctuate marginally in the near term, sources informed.
