Opening Bell: Base Metals Market Update

Base metals prices opened on a postive note today with aluminium showing the highest rise of over 2% to $2,780/t in morning trade. Notably, among all the base metals, copper stocks fell over 14% yesterday, equivalent to 20,200 t d-o-d. Crude oil WTI futures rose 0.36% to $119.70 per barrel supported by tight supplies and recovering fuel demand as China continued easing COVID-19 curbs in top cities.
