Hindustan Copper Ltd (HCL) resumed operations at the Surda Mines in Jharkhand on 7 Jun’22 after renewal of its lease by the state government of Jharkhand and after getting the required environment clearance (EC). EC has also been granted for exploration of 900,000 t of copper every year.
