Korea Southern Power Co Ltd (KOSPO) has published two separate tenders for purchase of steam coal of quantity 296,000 MT in 4 lots and 148,000 MT in 2 lots for its Hadong Power Plants, South Korea. The bid price should be on FoB basis and the loading of the coal is scheduled in from Jul’16 to Aug’16.
The offer validity is for the period of 3 business days from the date of tender closing. KOSPO can request the bidder to extend validity period of bid, if necessary.
Upon request by KOSPO, bidder shall provide relevant supporting documents including certificates, issued by the relevant authorities of the exporting country,
to demonstrate the legal status and current situation of the coal mine from which the coal would be supplied.
Specification
Total moisture (As received basis): 28 to 43%
Fixed carbon (Air dried basis): 60% max
Ash (Air dried basis): 4.5 to 17%
Net calorific value (As received basis): 3,800 to 4,700 kcal/kg
Ash fusion temperature: 1,050 to 1,100°C min
Note: Russian coal are not accepted in the second tender of 148,000 MT quantity.

The bid document should arrive before 14:00 hrs on 1 Jun’16 (Korean Standard Time).
