Company’s pellet sales tripled to 0.71 MnT in Q3 FY17.
Jindal Steel & Power has recently released its quarterly performance results for Q3 FY17. According to the quarterly report released, company’s pellet production was recorded at 1.69 MnT in Q3 FY17, up 8% Q-o-Q.
In the same time period last fiscal (i.e. Q3 FY16) the company produced 0.88 MnT pellets. Thus, on yearly basis, pellet production has surged by 92%.
JSPL performance updates:
1. In FY17 (till Dec’16), JSPL’s pellet production stood 4.86 MnT, up 51% Y-o-Y.
2. JSPL’s pellet sales in first nine months of this fiscal jumped 219% Y-o-Y and was recorded at 2.14 MnT.
3. JSPL continues to remain India’s largest pellet exporter. As per customs data maintained with SteelMint, JSPL exported 2.03 MnT pellets in FY17(till Jan’17).
4. The company is aiming to start hot metal production at its 3.2 MnT pa blast furnace in Angul by the end of current financial year.
5. Company’s standalone crude steel production stood at 0.84 MnT in Q3 FY17.
