Kiyoshi Imamura, Managing Director of Tokyo Steel Manufacturing announced that prices of all steel product variants will remain unchanged for 5 consecutive months.
The production schedule of Tokyo Steel in Jun’17 was for 2,00,000 MT.Out of which H-shaped steel 95,000 MT and hot coils of 85,000 MT. Besides this quantity for export comprised of 20,000 MT and planks of 10,000 MT.
From July’17 demand will remain weak as the electric steel makers are entering in to summer reduction period.

China- HRC Export Offers Rises over Strengthening Domestic Market.-Chinese HRC export offers went up this week over bullish sentiments prevailing in the domestic market.Chinese mills have raised the HRC export offers by USD 10/MT,W-o-W basis,however it results to dent in demand from overseas buyers.
Currently HRC export offers are prevailing in the range of USD 445-450/MT, FoB China. Last week the offers were heard in the range of USD 435-440/MT,FoB China.
Moreover,production shift from flat steel to re-bar has results to insufficient supply of HRC which is also influencing the rise in domestic prices in China along with export offers in global market.
Japan-HRC Export Offers Unchanged for Jul’17 Deliveries.
Japanese HRC export offers remained stable this week.Currently Japanese HRC export offers are hovering in the range of USD 460-465/MT FoB Japan which is equivalent to 495/MTCFR Mumbai.
CIS Nations HRC Export offers Rises by USD 5/MT
CIS nations HRC export offers moved up by USD 5/MT and are heard in the range of USD 435-445/MT FoB Black sea.Last week the same was assessed in the range of 430-440/MT,FoB basis.
