Japan’s flat steel exports during Oct ’20 declined by approximately 2% to 1.83 mn t against 1.86 mn t in the previous month. On a y-o-y basis, the same fell by 14.2% against 2.1 mn t in Oct ’19, as per the customs data maintained with SteelMint. Improved domestic demand has limited exports in this month. China, South Korea and Thailand remained the major destinations for Japan flat steel exports in Oct ’20.
