Indian finished steel exports during Apr-Jul ’20 registered an increase of approximately 140% at 4.64 mn t as compared to 1.93 mn t during Apr-Jul ’19, making India, a net exporter of total finished steel during this period. Dull domestic demand during Q1 FY’21 amid pandemic resulted in increased steel exports from India.
