A primary steel mill based in Bokaro (Jharkhand) having a capacity of 1.5 mn t pa, has increased finished long steel prices by INR 2,000/t ($27) for Aug’20. Fresh offers are reported at around INR 37,000/t for 5.5 mm wire rod (SAE 1008), ex-plant. The prices surged on improved demand and rising raw material prices, as per officials.
