Indian finished steel imports down 42% y-o-y in Apr-Jul ’20

India’s finished steel imports during Apr-Jul ’20 decreased by 42.05% to 1.51 mn t as against 2.60 mn t over the same period last year, as per the data released by Joint Plant Committee (JPC). High global prices and cheaper domestic steel prices, lowered imports to India.
