-Indian Flat Steel exports increased 51% to 447,925 MT in July against June’18.
-Exports of HRC/Plates jumped by 59% owing to subdued demand in domestic market, depreciating Indian currency against USD and falling Chinese steel export volumes. Meanwhile mills had rolled over domestic flat steel prices in July amid dull demand.
-Exports of Galvanised steel & coated steel moved up by 36%.
-Indian mills increased long steel exports sharply in July which was recorded at 82,909 MT against 53,091 MT in previous month.
-Rebar exports climbed by 75%. Amid subdued domestic demand and seasonal slowdown, mills exported export opportunities to SE Asian nations and bulk export shipments were also reported.
-Billet exports from India plunged by 45% to 126,696 MT in July 2018 over June 2018 amid hike in Indian domestic Billet prices which increased by INR 2000-3000/MT.
