Indian finished steel exports rise sharply in Apr ’21

India’s finished steel exports were recorded at 951,000 t in Apr ’21 as compared to 429,000 t in Apr ’20, an increase by 122% y-o-y, according to the recent data by Joint Plant Committee. Indian mills remained active in exports on improved buying interest from countries like China, Vietnam, Europe etc. Meanwhile, on a monthly basis, exports decreased by 26% against 1.29 mn t in Mar ’21.
