Amidst lower enquiries from sponge iron manufacturers, 4,000 t of South African RB2 (5500 NAR) coal was sold at INR 10,250/t at Gangavaram. Demand for imported coal continued to remain under pressure across various ports amidst expectations of prices falling further, market participants informed. RB2 portside prices have corrected by over 40% in a month.
