SAIL’s flagship Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) held an auction for 600 t of iron scrap (recovery rate 78%-83%) on 11 Apr’22. Buyers booked the entire 500 t of iron scrap at around INR 45,450-46,150/t. Also, one lot of 100 t of cast iron (CI) skull was booked at INR 46,600/t exw. SteelMint’s daily HMS 80:20 assessment stood at INR 47,200/t exw Raipur on 11 April, down by INR 800/t d-o-d.
