Australia: BlueScope to acquire coil coatings business of US manufacturer for $500 million

Australia-based BlueScope announced on 11 Apr’22 that it will acquire the building materials thin plate business of US manufacturer Cornerstone Building Brands Inc. for $500 million. The company has total coil coatings capacity of around 900,000 t/year across its seven facilities. The acquisition is aimed at strengthening business development mainly in the eastern part of the USA.
