SAIL conducted an auction today for 17,000 t (60 kg) of full-length commercial rails from Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP). Buyers booked the entire quantity at a weighted average price of INR 36,750/t exw, sources informed. Bid prices remained stable compared to the previous auction on 7 Dec at which 14,500 t of rails were booked at INR 36,600/t exw.
