SAIL has scheduled an auction for 1,500 t of steel grade pig iron (by road) for 1 Dec’21 from the IISCO Steel Plant. Limited allocations by SAIL for auctions is due to low realisations as against semis and finished steel. At the previous auction on 10 Nov, 2,000 t of pig iron had been booked at a weighted average price of INR 41,100/t exw.
