A leading domestic pellet producer floated an export tender for 50,000 t (±10%) of pellet (Fe 63%, 2% Al) on 8 Feb’22 which was heard concluded yesterday at around $172-173/t FOB. The company’s previous export deal, concluded in early Jan, had fetched bids at around $152.6/t FOB. Recovery in global iron ore prices and China’s comeback after the CNY holidays have lifted Indian pellet export sentiment.
