Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market decreased by INR 200/t d-o-d on 14 Oct’25. According to BigMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) prices stood at INR 30,000/t ($338/t) ex-yard. Semi-finished steel prices in the region declined by INR 300-400/t d-o-d in yesterday’s trading session due to limited trading activity. Meanwhile, average demand for scrap by Bhavnagar-based IF mills prompted suppliers to reduce their offers today.
