Melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market dropped further today by INR 200/t. The trade reference price for Heavy Melting Scrap (HMS 80:20) is at INR 39,000-39,200/t, while attachment scrap prices stand at INR 40,000-40,200/t. Persistent lack of demand and transactions in the semi-finished and finished steel markets in the state have resulted in a drop in scrap prices, sources informed.
