India has resumed scrap import bookings following the scant availability and rising prices of domestic substitute products. Trading has picked up on increasing demand from the construction sector.
- UK/EU-origin shredded offers are at $520/t CFR Nhava Sheva, up $5/t, w-o-w.
- Dubai-origin HMS1 deals were heard at $490-493/t CFR Nhava Sheva, up $10/t against last week.
- West Africa-origin HMS (80:20) stands at $485/t CFR.
