Chhattisgarh-based DB Power floated a tender to procure 0.5 mnt of imported coal for its 1,200 MW power plant in two-part bidding process: techno-commercial and price bids. It involves supply of low, mid and high CV (4200, 5000 and 5800 kCal/kg) non-coking coal on FOR plant basis. Tentative delivery schedule requires supply of 0.25 mnt of coal by Jun-end, 0.2 mnt by Aug-end and the remaining 0.05 mnt by Oct-end.
