Odisha based merchant miner-Essel Mining has today (i.e. 21 May’16) reduced iron ore offers by INR/MT. Both lump and fines prices have witnessed reduction of INR 100/MT.
A market participant from east India highlighted that sponge iron market has gained some strength in last couple of days but instability still persists in the market.

Trade-wise:
- As per market sources, Odisha’s AMTC mines iron ore prices are as follows: 5-18 mm (Fe 62%)-INR 2,400/MT and fines (Fe 62%)-INR 1,100-1,200/MT (ex-mines prices inclusive of Royalty, DMF and NMET).
This week (i.e.week 21) noticed price reduction by many Odisha merchant miners. Others continue to hold offers as of now.
