China’s HRC, CRC prices exhibit mixed trends

China’s domestic HRC prices rose by RMB 20/t ($3/t) while CRC prices dropped by the same quantum on 12 Aug’22. According to SteelMint data, SHFE HRC futures for Oct’22 delivery settled today at RMB 4,075/t ($604/t), up by RMB 39/t ($6/t) d-o-d. Current prices-

• HRC (4.5-12mm, Q235 B): RMB 4,020/t ($596/t)
• CRC (1-1.2mm, Q195-215A): RMB 4,535/t ($673/t)
• Prices are exw-Tianjin basis, inclusive of 13% VAT.
