China: Steel inventory at key mills increases significantly in mid-April

In mid-Apr’22, the steel inventory at mills affiliated to the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) stood at 19.66 mnt, an increase of 1.17 mnt or 6.38% m-o-m and an increase of 3.04 mnt or 18.33% compared with the same period of last month. Inventory at steel mills rose by 8.37 mnt, or 74.09%, compared with the beginning of the year.
