Shipbreaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market remained stable d-o-d except in rolling plates which get corrected on 25 Apr’22. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 48,500/t exy. Scrap suppliers observed limited buying enquires at current prices. IF mills based in Bhavnagar are unlikely procure material at higher prices due to the lack of trades in semis and finished steel during the last trading session. Thus, suppliers kept scrap offers unchanged.
