China: Steel imports fall 8%, y-o-y, in Jan-Feb’22

China’s steel imports in Jan-Feb’22 fell by 8.04% y-o-y to 2.21 mnt from 2.40 mnt in the same period last year, as per latest data released by customs. Steel production curbs, limited demand for semi-finished steel products and preference to domestic billets decreased the country’s import bookings.
