State-run miner Coal India Ltd (CIL) registered the highest-ever coal dispatches in FY’22, driven by unprecedented rise in power demand. The company dispatched a total of 608.15 mnt coal till 4 Mar’22, breaching the previous record of 608.14 mnt attained in FY’19. This comes only a day after the company’s supplies to power sector peaked to a historic high of 493 mnt for the current fiscal.
