China’s chrome ore imports decreased by 36% to 0.967 mnt in Oct’22 compared to 1.5 mnt in Sep’22. Inventory levels in domestic ports contributed to the fall in imports of chrome ore. The major exporting countries were South Africa (0.857 mnt) followed by Zimbabwe (0.032 mnt), Turkey, and Albania. Meanwhile, imports inched down by 1% to 12.552 mnt y-o-y compared to the same period last year.
