China: Billet prices fall by RMB 30/t ($4/t) d-o-d

  • Steel billet prices in Tangshan, China, dropped d-o-d by RMB 30/t ($4/t) to RMB 2,940/t ($400/t), including 13% VAT, on 16 Apr’25.
  • Volatility in raw material, finished steel prices, rebar futures as well as lower trade volumes have weighed on billet prices.
  • SHFE rebar futures (Oct’25) decreased d-o-d by RMB 32/t (4$/t) to RMB 3,093/t ($421/t) on 16 Apr’25.
