Australian premium hard coking coal (FoB) price rose by $3.25/t yesterday to $108.50/t as buying interest turned positive following higher transacted price for a December-laycan cargo. However, Chinese demand remains subdued amid new restriction on coal imports from Australia, although China’s steel production has been running at record levels.
