Australian coking coal prices fell $49/t in the last two days. Premium hard coking coal prices stood at $475/t FOB Australia on 26 May’22. Prices fell amid sluggish steel demand in the Asian countries. Demand for coking coal from India fell after a 15% duty was imposed on steel exports at a time when demand in Vietnam, South Korea and Japan remains subdued.
