Australian coking coal prices edge up $3/t d-o-d amid closure of rail corridor

Australian premium hard coking coal prices moved up by $3/t d-o-d to $335/t FOB on 30 Jan’23. The rise came amid supply tightness with the closure of rail corridor from the Queensland’s Bowen Basin to Gladstone Port after a coal train derailment. It is expected that coking coal supply will remain disrupted for at least five days.
