India’s bulk ferrous scrap imports fell by 12% m-o-m to 407,939 t in Jan’23, according to SteelMint’s data.
Imports dropped in Jan’23 after hitting an all-time high at 462,561 t in Dec’22.
The US and the UK were the major exporters in the month under review.
Scrap imports by the country jumped significantly y-o-y compared to 23,282 t in Jan’22.
