0.44 MnT of the raw material was sold out of the offered quantity of 0.99 MnT through 6th iron ore e-auction in Goa.
The 6th Goa iron ore e-auction held on 19 May, 2015 received a moderate response with 44% of the offered quantity being sold. Out of 0.99 MnT iron ore that was offered by the suppliers out of which 0.44 MnT was sold. The sold quantity comprised of 0.23 MnT fines & remaining 0.21 MnT was lump.
Sesa Sterlite procured 61% (0.27 MnT) of the total bid quantity. Other major buyers were Bagadiya Brothers and Kalinga Allied Industries.
High grade ore fetched higher bids. Bid prices for fines (Fe 59%) offered by Soc. Timblo Irmaos stood at INR 1,020/MT against base price of INR 540/MT. While, lower grade ore received flat bids. Fe 51% fines was sold at INR 630/MT. Lots containing fines (less than Fe 50%) remained unsold.
Lump (Fe 61%) was sold at INR 890/MT against base price of INR 790/MT. Lots containing low grade lump were also sold at base price. Fe 46% lump was sold at INR 630/MT.
