In line with overall weak steel market and lower demand, the primary manufacturer forced to cut LAM coke prices.
MMTC, on behalf of NINL, is offering about 26,540 MT LAM coke for sale in domestic market. Currently, it is offering a purchase of upto 26,540 MT LAM coke at basic price of INR 13,000/MT, ex-Cuttack for June deliveries. The material will be sold against 100% advance payment for first rake. Consistent lower Pig iron prices and overall weaker steel market forced NINL to further cut LAM coke prices as compared to last month.
Current offers have witnessed a price correction of INR 400/MT as compared to last month. Earlier, the company offered 11,500 MT LAM coke at INR 13,750/MT ex-plant in the beginning of May’15. Owing to weak demand and production cut in blast furnaces, the company had further reduced LAM coke prices by INR 400/MT for 2nd half of the month.
The offered LAM coke contains 12.5% of ash (max) with sizes available in the range of 20-80 mm. The material will be offered through rail.The offer is valid till 30 June’15.
